ProNine Hit Stick HEC Hand-Eye Coordination Bat – 30 and 33 Inch

The ProNine Hit Stick HEC bat shrinks the barrel to 1.75 inches and dares the hitter to square it up. Built in durable bamboo in 30 inch (1.2 lbs) and 33 inch (1.4 lbs) lengths, it improves hand-eye coordination in soft toss and tee drills by removing the forgiveness a full barrel provides. Sold individually.

Small Barrel, Honest Feedback

On a regulation barrel, a miss by half an inch still goes somewhere. On 1.75 inches it does not, and that is the drill: every rep tells the truth about where the barrel actually met the ball. Hitters who train thin find the game barrel suddenly generous.

ProNine’s Own Pairing

ProNine recommends the Hit Stick as a great tool to use with its weighted mini sand ball: the small weighted ball plus the thin barrel compounds the precision demand, and the sand ball will not damage the bamboo.

Where It Fits

Start contact work with the Sweet Spot bat and its full-size barrel, then graduate to the Hit Stick. One-hand variations run through the OHT one-hander. Everything else is in the training bats collection.

Like all ProNine training bats, it is built for tee work and soft toss: ProNine does not recommend training bats for live pitching, and that honesty is why they last.

What balls work best with it?

Soft toss and tee work with practice balls, foam balls, or ProNine’s weighted mini sand ball, which ProNine specifically recommends pairing with this bat.

30 or 33 inch?

Match your game bat length within an inch or two. Youth and smaller hitters take the 30; most high school and adult players take the 33.
