ProNine X4 Composite Practice Baseballs – Dozen

The ProNine X4 is the practice baseball for conditions that eat leather balls alive: a thin composite cover over a durable PU and rubber center, built to last longer than a regular leather ball while reacting off the bat like one. Turf, wet grass, gym floors, morning dew, it does not care. ProNine calls it the perfect practice ball for youth leagues, and the price makes a case of them easy to justify. Sold by the dozen.

Why a Composite Cover

Leather absorbs water and scuffs apart on turf and synthetic surfaces. The X4’s thin composite shell resists both, so the dozen you buy in March is still in the bucket come summer. Indoors or outdoors, grass or turf, it is one ball for every practice surface, and it stays usable in wet weather that would waterlog a leather ball.

Plays Like a Baseball, Not a Toy

Budget-proof practice balls usually feel dead. The X4 keeps a real interior, PU and rubber center with premium yarn windings and a medium seam height, so it comes off the bat like a regular game ball and gives pitchers a proper seam to grip.

Where It Fits

The ProNine X5 is the step-up composite with a cushioned cork center for college and high school programs, and the WWA wet weather ball covers rain-day work in full grain leather. Another composite option on the shelf: DBat PRO C composite baseballs.

X4 or X5?

Youth leagues and volume buyers: X4. College and high school programs that want a cushioned cork center inside the composite shell: X5.
